The first description of a Creswick family crest appeared at the head of an old  tree of the Owlerton family, which is held at Sheffield Record Office and in many other places

No official reproduction of the crest has yet been found, so a  Creswick crest design was bought from one of the standard makers who advertise  on the internet. It was corrected to conform with the first description, by changing the  lion, shown as ‘passant’into alion ‘guardant’. Then a name scroll was added.

If anyone has a better copy of the crest which can be used, this one wk, be gratefully retired.
